Terry fights a new villain, who is encased in a seemingly impenetrable force-field.
  • Chekhov's Gun: When Terry is hanging out with Irene on the beach, she established that the only thing that can enter the barrier is sound. Terry uses this knowledge against Suzuki with an incredibly loud industrial fan, causing him to drop the field to cover his ears.
  • Dr. Jerk: Dr. Blades is such a headstrong jerk to everyone that he doesn't even respect his own boss Bruce Wayne of all people.
Dr. Blades: What makes you think that you can rummage through my files like you own the place?
Bruce Wayne: Because I do: Bruce Wayne.
  • Hate Sink: Dr. Blades' possessively mean and rude attitude (the way he talks to Suzuki and Bruce Wayne, overreacts when Irene and Terry leave the lab and then bans Terry for it) give off the impression that he may be the villain of the week, but it was Suzuki. Nonetheless, Blades spends much of his screen time being as unpleasant as possible to everyone, even his own boss Bruce Wayne. He becomes less of a jerk off screen after Batman defeats the Repeller.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Suzuki is undone by his own force-field, which leaves him unable to shield his ears from a deafeningly loud industrial fan.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Dr. Blades when he lightens up off screen at the episode's end. Also, Blades is appalled that his research was weaponized over its medical purposes.
  • Mean Boss: Dr. Blades towards Suzuki.
  • Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: Besides greed, it's implied that one of the reasons Suzuki went rogue is out of unable to taken anymore of his superior Blades' power harassment, taking pleasure in attacking him.
  • No-Sell: When Terry tries stopping the Repeller by wrapping him in titanium, assuming that it’s unbreakable, the Repeller breaks out easily.
Nothing’s unbreakable. You merely need to apply enough force.
  • Red Herring: It's initially believed that the Untouchable Man is the mean caretaker of the suits, Dr. Blades, who is voiced by The Cartel Big Bad of Clear and Present Danger which further enforced this. But in reality, it's Suzuki.
