Gereon brings Moritz to the castle. Charlotte tells a lawyer about the deaths among street children and Goldstein takes drastic measures.

- Bavarian Fire Drill: When the corrupt judge doesn't comply with Charlotte's request to get access to his trial records, she brings up Gennat, the director of the criminal police, and how he would be displeased with his non-cooperation. The judge suddenly changes his mind and gives her clearance.
- Deceased Fall-Guy Gambit: All the arrested cops from Station 14 blame the guy Moritz killed for all of the Police Brutality and murders, claiming that they tried to stop it.
- External Combustion: The hit on Weintraub goes awry when instead of him, it's his driver who opens the car door that triggers the explosives.
- Holding Hands: Gereon and Charlotte more or less accidentally hold hands in the kitchen. Leads to them having sex in the kitchen.
- Making Love in All the Wrong Places: Gereon makes love to Charlotte on the kitchen table.
- No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Weintraub's driver, who insists on driving his boss, gets killed by an explosion when he opens the driver's door.
- Soundtrack Dissonance: When Goldstein kidnaps Nyssen's mother, their melee is underscored with uplifting classical music playing on Nyssen's gramophone downstairs.
