Basic Trope: A series of photographs, a slideshow or a bunch of video clips contains an embarrassing one.
- Straight: Preacher Sam is preaching about Jesus while a slideshow runs in the background to illustrate it. A picture of Sam's Goofy Print Underwear shows up.
- Exaggerated:
- There are dozens of underwear photos scattered throughout Sam's slideshow.
- Sam is preaching about how all "sexual deviants" and "adulterers" deserve to burn in hell... then the slideshow reaches a recent picture of Sam cheating on his wife to participate in a massive bisexual BDSM orgy.
- Sam is a Corrupt Corporate Executive who accidentally reveals his plans to bribe politicians and exploit their workers while giving a business presentation.
- Downplayed: An innocent vacation photo found its way into the slideshow. Sam is worried for a second, but manages to make it work within the context of his lecture.
- Justified:
- Sam is Hopeless with Tech. He just set the program to cycle through all the photos in a folder, forgot that the underwear photo ever existed and didn't think testing the slideshow beforehand would be necessary.
- Sam hasn't had a chance to vet the photos made by the automatic camera (or is vetting them right now), and one of them caught someone or some people in an embarrassing situation.
- Someone was messing with Sam's computer when he wasn't looking, and added the embarrassing slide(s).
- The slideshow was being edited collaboratively (such as on Google Slides), and one of the people Sam was collaborating with added the embarrassing pictures.
- Inverted:
- Sam accidentally puts a really cool picture among the mundane ones.
- The whole slideshow is full of awkward pictures, but a mundane photo shows up among the embarrassing ones for some reason.
- Subverted:
- A seemingly random vacation picture appears in the slideshow. However, Sam put it there on purpose, and the lecture was written around it.
- Sam deliberately placed his underwear photo to lecture his congregation about his experiences with bullying.
- Double Subverted: Then the underwear photo appears. Sam did not plan for that one.
- Parodied: One of the slides says "THIS IS AN EMBARRASSING SLIDE".
- Zig Zagged: But wait, Sam not-planning for the underwear slide was also done on purpose. Nope, Sam is lying is save face.
- Averted: No embarrassing photo found its way into Sam's slideshow.
- Enforced: To add a funny moment to the scene where someone does a presentation.
- Lampshaded: "Uhh... oh my. How Did That Get in There?"
- Invoked: Elaine guesses Sam's terrible password, gains access to his computer and adds an embarrassing photo or two to his slideshow.
- Exploited: Sam's rivals ensure that he'll only be remembered for accidentally showing off his underwear in a slideshow.
- Defied: Sam double-checks his slideshow to ensure that it doesn't contain anything he doesn't want to show off.
- Discussed: "You might want to preview that slideshow. We don't want you to accidentally show'em your underwear or something."
- Conversed: "Is nobody on this show smart enough to check their slides before giving a presentation?"
- Implied: The congregation is seen giggling during one of Sam's very boring lectures.
- Played For Laughs: Somehow every single one of Sam's slideshows contains a picture of him doing the exact thing he's preaching against.
- Played For Drama: Sam accidentally shows an image that is extremely upsetting to him or someone else, such as being a Trauma Button.
