"Let's go to the forest!"
Like Alberto Vasquez's previous movie, Bird Boy: The Forgotten Children, this movie has truckloads of it.
- The film establishes in the very beginning what the viewer is in store for with an ominous, tense sequence of Maria being relentlessly pursued by a strange blob in a ruined church that consumes everything in its path, including a monkey which couldn't escape fast enough.
- The drug trip sequence which occurs after Ironstroke's squad consumes some colorful insects. The visuals are very deranged, ranging from one of the bears watching his whole body melt into a puddle to another one voraciously eating a bug in a graphic manner. Special mention goes to the monstrous bug that one of the Cuddly-Wuddly Twins ends up stabbing repeatedly, which is revealed to be the other twin brother after the hallucinations wear off.
- Bluey's facial injuries after falling down a cliff are, to put it mildly, rather substantial: A gauged out eye, flesh torn off of from ear to chin, and despite having had weeks of medical attention, the wounds remain raw and seemingly refuse to heal.
- The ending of the film:
- When Bluey and Tubby are reunited with each other after Bluey himself instigates a war against the unicorns and destroys both the unicorns and the bears, Tubby then goes to tend to Maria's injuries. We then see Bluey grow so angry at this that he takes a large stone and smashes Tubby's head in, which is shown in bloody and graphic detail. Bluey then proceeds to kill Maria in cold blood and ends up eating her flesh; but then, he ends up coughing up blood as Maria's flesh ended up affecting him.
- After Bluey consumes Maria's flesh, we are then treated to the frightening blob creature coming up from Maria's flesh and it ends up devouring both Tubby and Bluey and transforming into a human being.
