Tant qu'il le faudra is a French series of novels by author and activist Cordélia, originally published on Wattpad, whose first volume was released in 2020.
Prudence is a young lesbian in the closet who discovers Parisian life... David is a gay student whose life revolves almost exclusively around his associative commitment and his best friend. Jade, a feminist and anti-ableism activist, tries to make her voice heard on social media... Ina, already in the active life, has to juggle between her work, her two associations and her activities as a Wattpad author... Together and with their friends, they try, as best they can, to publish Ho Mag, an LGBT+ magazine. But between love, studies, work and other daily realities, life is not always simple for those who do not fit into the mold of a society too formatted. Follow their lives, their wanderings, their struggles, during a whole school year, through a choral story as ambitious as stimulating.
Tant qu'il le faudra contains examples of the following tropes:
- Armoured Closet Gay: As a bisexual man deep in the closet, Galahad used to act as a Heteronormative Crusader due to his family and religious background.
- The Beard: Galahad used his ex-girlfriend as a cover for his condemned relationship with Min-Jae.
- Disabled Means Helpless: Exploited. While Jade, who uses a wheelchair, regularly gets annoyed that able-bodied people prevent her from doing simple things, she also knows how to benefit from it when she is tired.
