Ho Yay / Otherside Picnic

• During their very first meeting, Sorawo is struck speechless by how beautiful Toriko is. Indeed, Sorawo is constantly describing Toriko as extraordinarily beautiful and is sometimes is literally distracted by the sight of her face.
• Volume 1, Chapter 2 has Sorawo becoming extremely jealous and petty about Toriko's fixation on Satsuki, jumping to the conclusion that Toriko doesn't care about her and is only bringing her along because she needs some sort of partner. When Abarato is lost to the blue light after believing Hasshaku-sama was his lost wife, Toriko starts acting strange and claiming Satsuki's there, leading Sorawo to realize Hasshaku-sama must lure people in with a hallucination of someone dear to them. Desperately trying to stop Toriko from Abarato's fate, Sorawo finally breaks and cries out to Toriko begging her not to leave her alone— only to hear Toriko calling for her from behind her. As it turns out, the "Toriko" supposedly under Hasshaku-sama's spell was Hassaku-sama herself— causing Sorawo to squirm as she realizes that means Toriko is Sorawo's "dear someone." The kicker? Later, Toriko reveals she did believe Satsuki was there, and desperately wanted to follow "her"... but resisted because she was worried about Sorawo.
• During Chapter 3 Toriko helps support Sorawo as she shoots the "bull" at Kisaragi Station. The manga adaption highlights the Hands-On Approach subtext to it.
• Even before they're actually a couple, Kozakura refers to an argument between Toriko and Sorawo as a "lover's spat".
  Kozakura: You two fight, and can't apologize, but neither of you has the guts to contact the other. So you make a call on me, a mutual acquaintance, looking to find an excuse to talk.
• When Toriko is examining Sorawo's altered eye, she has her pushed against the wall, with a hand beside Sorawo's head. She even takes a moment to put a hand on Sorawo's chin, and say "so pretty".
• During their trip to Okinawa, Toriko ends up sleeping in the same bed as Sorawo while completely nude.
  • Later Sorawo is once again awestruck by how pretty Toriko is upon seeing her in her swimsuit. Toriko is quite flustered when Sorawo tells her this.
• Lest we think that Toriko and Sorawo are the only characters getting this treatment, there's also the relationship between Akari and Natsumi. Natsumi is blatantly designed to be a Butch Lesbian, and she's also worried about people hitting on Akari. But when Sannuki tries to threaten Natsumi, under the influence of Sorawo's Magic Eye, Akari becomes an unstoppable fighting machine, railing at Sannuki for threatening someone she loves (Natsumi). After the fight is over and Sorawo returns Akari to normal, Akari and Natsumi embrace, calling each others' names.
• After Sorawo saves Toriko from being killed by Satsuki, or something using her appearance, Toriko and Sorawo are found by Kozakura holding hands, and when Toriko wakes up, the first thing she does is ask if Sorawo is okay.
• In File 13, Kozakura ends up spooning Sorawo while they sleep after a creepy occurrence causes Kozakura to flee in terror. Other interactions between them imply somewhat non-platonic feelings or at least blatant favouritism on Kozakura's part. For example, in File 11, when she falls asleep on Sorawo's lap instead of anywhere else. Or in File 14, when she calls Sorawo to tell her to come over and doesn't call Toriko, despite that matter potentially including both of them.
  • To compound matters, Toriko walks in on Kozakura in bed with Sorawo. She spends their subsequent train ride giving Sorawo the cold shoulder.
• When Sorawo has to spend the night at Akari's, Natsumi races over and spends most of the night giving Sorawo the stink-eye.
• A dark version: all of the people who were directly influenced by Satsuki, like Toriko and Akari, and those influenced by traps she left behind, Runa by an ASMR video, and Sorawo by the Kotoribako, have been young women. All of them have either been given powers by Otherside (Toriko, Sorawo, and Runa), or nearly been killed by the supernatural elements she brought into their lives (Toriko, Sorawo, and Akari).
• When Sorawo and Toriko do their Love Hotel Girls' Party, with Kozakura, Akari, and Natsumi, things get a bit weird. Akari insists on bathing with Natsumi, prompting Toriko to firmly declare she's bathing with Sorawo. One of the girls suggests putting on a porn video, but that gets turned down. Then otherworldly interference begins, with a strange female apparition tapping Natsumi's shoulder in the bath. Then Sorawo answers the door, thinking it's room service. Instead, it's a figure of a lion, and Sorawo, under supernatural influence, strips naked and dances with it, calling the other girls to join her. The group all ends up dancing naked together, and evidently wake up in a nude heap, with Sorawo having no memory of what transpired.
