WARNING: Spoilers Off applies to Heartwarming Moments pages.

  • In a twisted sort of way; When Victoria realizes you're off your Joy during the prologue, she gives you the benefit of the doubt and offers you one of her pills, only calling you a Downer when you refuse. She's also stated as being kind to Ollie, and also offers him Joy at one point.
    • In gameplay, going around Wellies and Bobbies while off your Joy elicits them showing concern for your health and advising you to see a doctor.
  • Also in a twisted sort of way, the large amount of cards and fruit left for Prudence in her office during her interminable "vacation." She seems to have had a lot of friends.
  • You can give Bobbies a bottle of alcohol, and women (such as Nosey Old Ladies) bouquets. Granted, you're probably doing it to distract them, though they appreciate the sentiment.
  • The Witches in Sally's story. They're not judgemental of her skepticism of magic, give her help with where to go and offer encouragement:
Witch 1: "What your mother did. Do you worry that you have that in you?"
    Sally: "All the time."
Witch 2: "To be a mother is to worry."
  • The Bobbies thank Sally for making Blackberry Joy for them by arranging an elaborate musical number.
    • Later when Dr. Verloc tries to have her arrested they wont even try to stop you from leaving the lab.
  • The ending to Sally's story. She stole the General's boat and is already a ways out of Wellington Wells when Gwen starts to cry. Sally panics briefly and quickly starts shushing her, before realizing that there's nobody around to hear, and that they are really, truly free. She then takes Gwen in her arms while crying happy tears, and tells her to make as much noise as she likes.
Sally: We're going to have such adventures! We'll be the Two Musketeers! (hugs Gwen close)
  • Uncle Jack does genuinely care about the Wellies. In his final episode, he remembers about Margaret; as a consequence, he fights off the Joy and urges the population to stop taking the pills.
    • On the other side of the coin, during the ending, we see how much the Wellies love and trust Uncle Jack; when several see his episode urging them to stop taking the pills, they take off their masks. This implies that, despite it flying in the face of everything they were told up until this point, they're willing to listen to him without hesitation.
  • The "Remember" Ending that is featured after the three story lines are finished. Arthur's realized just how awful a person he used to be, but has chosen to take responsibility for his mistakes and continue his search for his brother, even if the results may very well be futile.
    • After the credits roll, we see Arthur practicing conversations with himself, clearly afraid that Wellington Wells drove him too mad to speak to normal people. Then he comes across a young boy. When he gives the Wellie-standard "Lovely day for it!", the boy calls him stupid and gripes that it's been a shitty, dreary, rainy day. Arthur actually smiles as he agrees with the boy that "It has been rather a shit day." — now that he's left Wellington Wells, he's finally free to speak his mind.
  • Although there are no gameplay differences between killing people or knocking them unconscious, are non-lethal weapons in the game, meaning you can play a Pacifist Run if you so wish. Given that most of the enemies you'll face are just delusional civilians, it can feel good to avoid having to kill them.
  • The ending of They Came From Below, should you convince James to come with you through the portal. Roger kisses James and the two hold hands before crossing over to the robot’s planet, with James acknowledging that, no matter what happens next, at least they’ll be free to be in love.
  • At the end of Lightbearer, Nick says "This one's for Virgil!" before finishing Foggy Jack off.
  • In We All Fall Down, when Victoria visits Haworth Labs, she finds the lab workers having staged a strike, demanding that Sally be reinstated to her position.
  • After Victoria is thrown in jail, her mother praises her for her bravery. It's just a hallucination, but it's still nice to hear.
