- Charles and Zanna becoming an official couple goes down as one of the sweetest hook-ups in any of CB's fics.
- Ub telling Walter to stop picking on Ivy in one of the Interludes. After all Ub had done to Ivy, it was nice seeing him show her some sympathy, realizing that she'd suffered enough in the game.
- In the fourth Playa des Losers Interlude, after Xadrian breaks his leg, Xadrian is seen lamenting his loss, and is at the saddest we've seen from him throughout the entire fic.. Then Betilla of all people enters the room and offers him some soup. Xadrian initally refuses, assuming it's poisoned, but after Betilla eats some first, he accepts. It turns out the soup is very good. Betilla then gives Xadrian a "The Reason You Don't Suck" Speech that's actually very touching. The two become friends and even start making lighthearted jokes with each other.
