• Any interaction between Captain Manzini and Dodger. The chemistry between Anthony Newley and Mackenzie Astin truly sells the father-son relationship they have, and the film’s last line, despite the Broken Aesop it entails thanks to it being about the title characters, emanates fatherly pride.
  Captain Manzini: Perhaps it would have been safer to lock them away from the world. But as you've taught me, Dodger, you can't change the world by locking yourself away from it.
