  • In Chapter 3, after learning of Shigeo's character along with how he selflessly defended Seasoning City with his friends, All Might proudly compliments the boy for his pure soul and how he has the true heart of a hero. The little esper can't help but shed a few tears for receiving such praise.
  • When Shigeo learns that Seasoning City doesn't exist in the world of heroes and begins to cry for his situation, Toshinori immediately pulls him for a Cooldown Hug. The kind man apologizes to the boy for his loss and vows to do everything in his power to help him however he can; from adjusting to the new reality to searching for a way to his true home.
  • In the same chapter, Reigen gives his own Cooldown Hug to Ritsu to keep him from attacking Suzuki while assuring him that he's just as kind-hearted as Mob.
  • Izuku using the "Fight On!" motto after Shigeo uses it during training and explains it's significance. Additionally, All Might can't help but feel pride at the esper for committing to improving himself with the Body Improvement Club and not relying on his powers.
  • Toshinori acting like a father figure to both Shigeo and Izuku. It's very wholesome getting to see the aged hero offer words of wisdom or comfort to the two boys as they continue their journeys in becoming heroes.
  • Mob's first speech towards his classmates in Chapter 12 where he claims that he doesn't consider himself to be better than anyone of them just because of his power. His statement of how their own personal strengths are just as important along with his own desire of improving himself manages to emotionally move nearly everyone.
  • Mob being able to conquer his fear of public speaking by giving a short but meaningful speech during the Sports Festival as he speaks from the heart and encourages every class to give it their best.
  • Before facing each other in the final round, Shigeo assures Todoroki that he doesn't have to use his fire Quirk if he doesn't feel completely comfortable doing so. He then offers some familiar words of advice.
Mob: You're the protagonist of your own story. A story that isn't written by your father, Midoriya, or me. That means you get to make your own choices, you can choose what kind of person you want to be. Just try to make sure that whatever choices you make, they're choices that you can be proud of. That's what I'm trying to do: I'm trying to improve myself to become a person that I can be proud of.
  • The creation of the Body Improvement Club which is spearheaded by Kirishima and Mob. It retains the spirit of the original and the morale of the new club inspires more students to join.
  • The climax of the Stain Arc involves the titular villain having a genuine change of heart after seeing Shigeo's memories and how he inspired the wicked and misguided to change their own ways. Before being willingly taken to prison, he openly declares that Shigeo has the power to change hero society for the better; while the esper is unsure of what he can do as a rising hero, Stain assures the boy that he just needs to continue being him and it'll work out in his favor.
Stain: Trust me, child: you bring an entirely new definition to the word. Just continue to do what you've always done, and that will be enough. You are INVINCIBLE, Shigeo Kageyama.
  • After recalling Shigeo's warning of how utterly alone he truly is, Endeavor takes the first step in being a better father by treating Shouto to his favorite cold soba. He then openly states that he's proud to have him as a son and vows to do everything he can to be a man worthy of Shouto's approval.
  • Everything involving the miracle of healing Shouto's iconic scar. The red and white haired boy is so delighted with Shigeo's gift that he drags him to the mental hospital where his mother is residing so the two can finally meet. And when Rei sees her son, she cries Tears of Joy as her son is now fully healed and she is free from the guilt that's haunted her for 10 years. Once things settle, the Todorokis express gratitude for the young esper who's done so much for their family, from helping Shouto with his personal crisis to changing Endeavor's cruel heart.
  • In the following chapter, Shigeo performs another miracle by undoing Tensei's paralysis which allows him to walk again. While Tensei vows to use this second chance to make his younger brother proud of him again, Mob assures him that he's already made Tenya proud as a big brother, regardless if he's a big shot hero or not. The whole Iida family forms a group hug and cry while pledging their amity to Shigeo if he ever needs their help.
  • When Shigeo and Momo talk alone at Momo's house, Momo expresses her insecurity and lack of confidence in herself over her failure in the Sports Festival and over reliance on Mob for her victories, but Mob talks about her remarkable abilities and expresses his confidence in her. Then, when Momo begins to tear up and attempts to hide this from Mob, he holds her hand and assures her it's ok to show her feelings in front of him. Momo's tears fall down her cheeks, and she sincerely thanks Shigeo for his kindness.
  • In Chapter 34, Mineta declares that he won't be the same pervert he used to be and promises to be a better man who respects women. While the girls (and boys) pull jokes at him afterwards, the grape-headed kid sees Shigeo giving a warm smile and a thumbs up, showing how proud he is of his vow to be a better person.
    • And in Chapter 35, he gives up the chance to team up with Momo by offering Mob to trade partners with him. This was done not only to help Mob get to spend some quality time with his lady of interest, but also to follow through with his vow of being a better person. Momo and the other students compliment him for his noble act which makes the little guy giddy with glee.
  • The reconciliation between Mob and Izuku after the latter's outburst of frustration. Izuku openly apologizes for his behavior claiming that the psychic didn't deserve to be treated like that considering how kind and thoughtful he's been throughout their journey. Not only does Mob accept Izuku's apology but also admits that he was right in regards to how he uses his powers and promises to do whatever he can to help his green haired friend master OFA. Izuku can only run up to hug his blood brother while the two shed Tears of Joy for being blessed with such a strong friendship.
    • In the following chapter, the two boys feel more comfortable after making up and are significantly more relieved and delighted. And when Mob asks Izuku if he can help him be more creative with his powers, the green haired fanboy is all too eager to use his hero knowledge to help his psychic brother.
  • Despite knowing him for less than a day and for not seeing him in over a year, Mob still thinks kindly of Katsuya Serizawa and refers to him as a friend when talking to Twice.
  • Tokoyami expresses a desire to join the unofficial rescue team by explaining all the times Mob has been there to support him during his hero academia like a true friend. Most of the members are touched to hear how Mob has helped the shadow user and eagerly welcome him to the mission.
  • Mob achieving 100% Courage to protect his friends from the Emperor of Darkness while also expressing thanks to them for making an effort to come to Kamino just to save him.
  • After Mob is brutally beaten by All For One and is one attack away from his demise, the public around him begins to cheer for him to keep on fighting. It even cuts to his friends and their families who were touched by his kindness and root for him to do the impossible once again. This gives Mob the willpower to finish the fight vowing not to let his friends and the viewing world down.
Mob: Don't worry. Just like I helped him, I'm going to help you.
    • After the fight, Mob gives a public statement where he expresses gratitude to everyone watching him for believing in his worth as a true hero. He also makes an effort to defend the Pro Heroes and U.A. High after their recent slandering from the media.
    • Before being carted away to a medical helicopter, Mob is able to make eye contact with an awakened All For One. While the former Emperor is dumbfounded that the boy he tried to kill was responsible for his restored face, the esper just gives a soft smile knowing that he was able to perform his latest miracle.
  • Just like in canon, All Might meets with Izuku on Dagobah beach where the former assures his young ward that he is just as worthy of inheriting One For All and that he'll make a splendid hero one day.
  • Endeavor makes another step in being a good father by offering words of comfort to Shouto after he was reprimanded by the authorities for his reckless behavior. It's tough for him, but he manages to win a small smile on his son's face by reminding him that it was his friendship with Shigeo that gave him the willpower to defeat All For one and save everyone. And for that, Shouto should be proud for his efforts.
  • Mob being praised by everyone around him for his valiant performance against the Emperor of Darkness. From direct praise by All Might and the other Pro Heroes to reading hand-written letters from his friends and the news crew he saved. It's an honest delight for Mob to see how much of a positive impact he's had on the world of heroes because of his efforts.
  • While Mob breaks down crying in Chapter 41, the Pro Heroes pull him in for a group hug to show their sympathy. And when the Commission's task force arrives to arrest Mob, they all immediately stand up to protect him.
    • A minor one, but one of the task force agents apologizes to Mob while placing him in the Iron Maiden.
  • During his house visits to the Bakugous and Yaoyorozus, the parents openly praise Aizawa for his competence as a teacher and how his values helped to raise a brave and compassionate hero hopeful like Mob.
  • Aizawa uses Izuku's friendship with Mob and how much they've helped each other grow to convince Inko into letting her son continue his hero academia.
Inko: I hadn't considered before that it was thanks to Izuku that Kageyama found that inner strength or that Kageyama was inspiring Izuku. What kind of mother would I be if I ripped away that kind of friendship from my son?
