Main series

ep. 0: End of Genms, Beginning of the Plan
  • Carried over from his ordeal during the Genms duology, Gai's redemption arc has him on Aruto's shoes in his desire to protect the world no matter how many times he gets ridiculed and even trampled by people like Kuroto Dan. Even though he fails to convince not only Kuroto, but also the Arch Orphnoch, he still insists on finding allies, let alone former and current villains who also oppose Zein's authoritarianism.

ep. 1: Mirror World Treasure and Return of Ouja
  • Although that didn't last long the moment he regained his memories of the Rider Fight, Asakura's care for his brother is shown to be genuine. The simple fact that he had to do inside jobs for a Corrupt Politician who used him as a bargaining chip show that even a hardened criminal like him having to fight the law with his family's lives on the line shows that there's even a slight of good intentions within the madman.

ep. 2: Omen of Destruction and Desast's Resurrection

ep. 4: Crazy Time and Zein's Identity
  • As much of a scummy egomaniac that he is, Banno having to pester Brain not to trust Zein is basically the closest thing that he has as his only act of genuine kindness, even if it's Pragmatic Villainy at worst. As he would turn out to be correct that Zein is actually Evil All Along. Banno is basically in Krim's position in episode 40 & 41 of Drive at the time where the latter warning the heroes about Banno pretending to help them until it was too late so he that can steal Krim's technology.
  • Brain having to protect the Ark-possessed Horobi from the alternate Yuto Sakurai/Kamen Rider Zein borderlines on this and Tear Jerker if you take into consideration that the alternate Yuto has basically lost everything and without (his timeline's) Deneb to keep him in check. The reason he came into the present is to carry out Zein's mission to cleanse humanity of evil through subjugation using the power of every Rider. Brain was having none of it, calling Yuto out for becoming the same kind of monster he despises; something that compelled Yuto to hesitate, and he nearly avoids from crossing the Moral Event Horizon by murdering both Horobi and the Ark. Unfortunately for Brain, Tachibana destroys the Ark, at the cost of injuring Horobi and Zein possessing Yuto, preventing him from truly redeeming himself.
  • The Ark itself has this moment when it makes a do-or-die attempt to draw out Zein by hijacking Horobi. If one takes into consideration that the Ark also learns from Gai's determination to prevent Zein from becoming a present and clear danger to the world, with this moment alone serving as the Ark's only, if not, genuine redeeming quality.
