The developing friendship between the girls is quite sweet. Episode 12 brings it home for Hibiki and Akemi. Akemi admits that weren't it for Hibiki, she would not have been able to meet Ayaka and Zina.
The Stinger in Episode 12 has Hibiki get on a scale. We don't see the reading, but we do see Hibiki's big smile and happy noises, followed by her running cutely off screen, implying that it was very good news. The audience feels as pleased for her as she does.
