- Zozi and Bartok's friendship is overall incredibly sweet. Zozi never loses faith in Bartok and gives him a lot of encouragement throughout the movie.
- When a small peasant girl implores Bartok to go save the missing Prince Ivan, he caves in upon seeing her on the verge of tears. He may be a con artist, but at least he can be moved.
- Late in the film, Bartok gets fed up with Baba Yaga's riddles, chews her out and storms out of her house in a huff—only for him to come back and find her in tears over it. Bartok quickly realizes she isn't as bad of a person as he thought, and apologizes to her, crying in turn—this act of compassion ends up solving Baba Yaga's final challenge.
- Bartok, Piloff, and (reluctantly) Baba Yaga sharing a group hug at the end of the film.
