  • I can understand that Shio doesn't miss her messed-up family, well at least her asshole of a "father". I can also understand she fell so easily for Satou, since Satou seems to be the only personsans , who genuinely cares for Shio. But what about the terrible smell of the remains of the murdered guy in the locked room? Doesn't that bother Shio a single bit? Or the smell left after that burnt missing person notice? All the "precautions" Satou takes to protect her life with Shio leave awful traces, which would certaily bother somebody living at such place. Even a small gullible child.
  • Exactly how can one actually maintain an apartment acquired by murdering the previous tenant without going through all the necessary legal chores? In other words how does Satou actually pay for the place without raising any suspicion. How did she trick the landlord? There's this thing called contract of lease and it only authorizes the signed tenant to use the place. If other people are living in the place, they require to be listed in the contract as well. And what about the previous tenant's family and relatives? Don't they come looking for them? The tenant was also probably attending school or a job. How come nobody is missing them. Is this setting's society and law enforcement completely braindead?
  • What would Satou do if Shio fell ill or got severely injured in some way? She's clearly not willing to take her to a doctor. It would actually be even worse if they succesfully escaped. In a foreign country they couldn't get any long-term medical care without acquiring healh insurance and registering at a doctor's office first. Which would be nigh impossible without the proper personal documentation. And all Satou has is a couple of forged passports.
  • Considering the law enforcement, weren't the police officers dealing with Satou's deranged aunt authorized to take her in? Her pushing herself on one of them clearly bordered on assault of public agent, which is a valid charge reason. Also she was clearly not suited to be anyone's legal guardian due to her obvious mental state.
  • What kind of parent has their daughter marry her rapist and what do they hope to achieve by this?
  • How did Shio take care after herself once Satou passed away? She refused to come back with Asahi and has nowhere to live now. At best she'd end up in an orphanage.
  • Who exposed Kitaumekawa's crimes in the end? Satou was already dead and she was probably the only one who knew about them. There was no physical evidence of him being involved with her, since the remains she ordered him to dispose of, ended up burnt.
