- It's established in the first film that winning the competition has you end up dying as a "reward". This is also lampshaded by Ben early in the film. So how are we getting a cast full of Sole Survivor characters with that kind of logic?
- Perhaps Minos left some previous winners alive in the event that they wanted to organize a Tournament of Champions event like the one shown in the film. After all, this is basically a lethal version of Survivor and similar shows. That genre has Fan Favorite events in it, so it's not inconceivable that Minos would want to do one too.
- Considering the final twist that Minos set this all up to get Zoey to play their final game, it could be that all of these people aren't actually past winners, but just people Minos brainwashed or manipulated to pretend to be past winners to sell the scenario to Ben and Zoey.
- Ben and Zoey beat their game master. The others might have as well. Given that Minos did a pretty quick clean up / cover up job on the location and the police didn't take them seriously because of it, the others probably ran into similar dead-ends if they contacted the authorities. Personally, I'd put a dollar on the Minos games being the stuff of urban legends in their world.
- In the Alternate Cut it's explicitly stated that they started allowing some winners to survive due to demand for a Tournament of Champions. However, it's unknown whether it is still true in the continuity of the theatrical cut, though, especially given the character who says it.
- Brianna's previous game featured a cast of popular influencers, and she herself had a pretty huge following. While the reach of Minos is pretty huge, wouldn't at least some of the literal millions of followers of these influencers notice something was up if they deactivated their accounts suddenly or didn't post in a while?
- Minos created news stories for the victims of the first film. Depending on their brand, maybe some had "death by selfie" news stories.
- Could Zoey jam the taxi door with something such as the ketchup bottle to bypass the "one survivor only" rule?
- Possibly, but only if she'd anticipated that the cab door would slam shut when it did. OTOH, the other two had already seen that very door slam to cut them off, yet failed to anticipate that the phone booth's might do the same, so Zoey's lapse wasn't the worst of the lot.
