• The core of the gameplay is basically a bizarre and grotesque slapstick comedy starring a pathetic, horribly disfigured Iron Butt-Monkey being made suffer as much abuse as possible with the sole purpose of entertaining the player.
  • Troy's pathetic whines and screams only add to the fun.
  • The snark of the narration and text may qualify too, calling Troy a disappointment even to science.
  • The tutorial text makes no effort to disguise its contempt for Troy, even at one point asking the player to press a button to "access Troy's profound knowledge". Pressing said button only gets painful groans and agonized screams from the pitiful protagonist.
• The entire encounter^note due to its nature and goal it can hardly be considered a Boss Battle with Amadeus, The Firstborn. Despite being a humongous Eldritch Abomination, they have a Freak Out when Troy tumbles into their lair. Then they proceed to sing a lamenting aria all the while Troy bounces around.
• Agamemnus, the second Abomination God, also qualifies even less as a boss battle, as the encounter is, surprisingly, a dating sim.
  • There's also something hilarious about Troy's "anime form" in the dating sim, going from conjoined cancerous lump to two separate sharply-dressed anime boys.
  • Fail to charm the three heads, and the fourth one, Patroclus, emerges, who is a deranged and possessive control freak who is hideous even for abomination standards. His last quote is demanding that Troy be his forever and that they may hopefully have many kids together.
• One level has Troy, a two-headed tumor with two floppy arms, riding a motorcycle to flee a crashing plane. It's as ridiculous as it sounds.
• Troy gives a speech to the crowd at the Galaxy Brain Summit, bemoaning their miserable existence. Amusingly, they're actually supportive of the advances of science...but criticize its use to create miserable, suffering beings like themselves.
• The Metaphorical Duck. The title of its theme music is even Shadow of the Ducklossus.
  • The reveal that the Metaphorical Duck was just an actual, ordinary-sized normal duck that Troy killed while hallucinating under the influence of a Mushroom Samba.
