• Snobby rich guy punches out one of those "The End is Near!" sign preachers.
• They managed to do the one thing they failed to do in the original: make a Jumping the Shark joke.
• In one scene, there is a shot inside a building with the TV turned on, and it's set to the news channel. As the anchorman describes the carnage the sharks are causing, all of a sudden, an octopus slams into the building's window and slowly slides down.
