    Season 1

  • "Strange New Worlds"
    • Chuck makes it clear that he on the whole rather likes SNW, but he finds the fact that it is tied so closely to Discovery — which he was significantly less impressed by — in terms of continuity baggage unfortunate. As such, during the review, he makes several Take Thats against Discovery whenever the subject comes up.
      • "Now, if you haven't seen Discovery... Lucky you, I won't ruin that for you."
      • Spock and Pike reunite on the Enterprise and briefly discuss the recent events:
Spock: I confess, each time I return to space, the weight I carry for the loss of my sister feels heavier.
Pike: I'm sorry. I miss her, too.
Chuck: That makes two of you.
      • "...Admiral April says that he got them out of this problem by using a loophole. The only way to explain what happened on that world, would require acknowledging something that they can't: The existence of Discovery. I sympathize"

  • "Children of the Comet"
    • At the captain's table, Pike tells a funny story that falls flat with Spock.
Pike: Sometimes, Mr. Spock, things go so badly, you just have to laugh.
Chuck: No kidding. I've spent fifteen years looking at Voyager, you don't need to convince me.
    • One of Chuck's tangents about polyglots suddenly swerves into a Discworld Shout-Out.
Chuck: This is what you get if I don't complain about Ortegas, take it or leave it.

  • "Ghosts of Illyria"

  • "Memento Mori"

  • "Spock Amok"

  • "Lift Us Where Suffering Cannot Reach"

  • "The Serene Squall"

    Season 2

  • "Tomorrow And Tomorrow And Tomorrow"
    • Chuck talking about Kirk concerned that La'an's mission is essentially to erase his timeline, despite his timeline sucking dramatically:
I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that if someone told me my timeline is the result of something going wrong in history, I'd say "What? You mean a globe-crippling disease, out-of-control inflation, war in Ukraine, murder hornets, five years of Australia, Canada, and the US taking turns catching fire, and worst of all, Morbius were all never meant to happen? And we could change that? What's the downside? That all my life that I've lived in this timeline would be erased, I asked you what the downside is, please." Now, trust me everybody, I'm ready to take one for the team. Mephisto says the price is my marriage, (scoffs) I was afraid you were going to take something I was actually using!
      (long beat)
My wife laughed at that joke, so don't worry.
    • Calling the Romulan agent, who's posing as "a Gen Z streamer," "TikTok Tomalak."
