What Makes This Song Stink

  • Episode 1: "Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down
    • "Hoppus knows like, a C chord."
    • The acapella vocals to "Kryptonite" accompanying the transitions.
    • Pat interrupting the video to put in time-lapsed footage of him setting up gear to trap music, just to generate YouTube views.
    • Pat interrupting the video again to show the video his neighbors as they're shoveling snow.
    • Pat only refers to the guitarists from 3 Doors Down as "the guitarist from 3 Doors Down" and "the other guitarist from 3 Doors Down."
    • "If I go crazy then will you still call me superman—I HATE THIS SONG."
    • He completely skips over the bass part of the song and just shows a picture of the bass player.
    • "Hi-hat bullshit."
    • "So he's superman, and this person is his kryptonite, and he's got that shirt on."
  • Episode 2: "All Summer Long" by Kid Rock
    • The "hey guys" montage.
    • While hearing Kid Rock talk about the backstory of "All Summer Long," nearly every word he says makes Pat say "god dammit."
    • "Three Blind Mice kinda rips."
    • "But where it gets real bad and real disgusting and racist..."
    • Pat filming the video while doing his household chores.
  • Episode 3: "Beverly Hills" by Weezer.
    • "Unlike Kid Rock or 3 Doors Down, two acts I would leave on the side of the road, and probably stop to take their water which is necessary for their survival..."
    • Pat playing the verse melody on a microwave with a butter knife.
    • "I was drinking. Not because Weezer broke up, just that I come from a loooong line of alcoholics." *cue jaunty Irish music playing over an image of a depressed drinking old man*
  • Episode 4: "Hey Soul Sister" by Train
    • The Moose, Pat's parody of shitty rock radio stations.
    • Kim's story about Internet Stalking Pat's Instagram and finding that he posted six pictures of Pat Monahan in a row for no reason.
    • Pat asks his black landlord Lloyd how he feels about the "I'm so thug" line. Lloyd just makes a face before Pat quickly moves on.
  • Episode 5: "American Woman" and "Fly Away" by Lenny Kravitz
    • John Bohlinger: Department Store Rundown.
    • The guitar from "Fly Away's" solo literally flies away out of the stadium.
    • The dick pic tangent. Pat even gives himself a flag for it.
  • Episode 6: "Dani California" by The Red Hot Chili Peppers
    • Pat calling Chad Smith "Big Cat" for no reason other than that he thinks it's a good nickname for him.
    • Anthony Kiedis losing by a lot in the "Pick a Pepper" poll.
    • The entire "I love you, you're my brother" sketch.
    • Pat's terrible song from high school, "Wayno Wayo," and how embarrassed and reluctant he is to play it.
Pat: "Do you remember our song 'Wayno Wayo?'"
Mike: "I remember YOUR song 'Wayno Wayo.'"
    • The war for "D-A-G-A." Coupled by the fact that the sketch goes on for a while and really doesn't have anything to do with "Dani California."
  • Episode 7:
    • Pat trying to ask his punk friend Balzman about the most important punk bands and getting completely shot down.
"He's so punk he wouldn't answer the question!"
    • Pat dressing up like Anthony Fantano.
    • Pat begging My Chemical Romance fans not to come after him.
    • Pat's emo outfit.
  • Episode 8:
    • Pat can't even bring himself to look at Ben Shapiro.
    • Rick Rubin is the producer of the first recording of "Chopsticks."
    • Pat texts Zach that he "REALLY fucked him" after Pat is forced to apologize to Train.
      • The funniest part is what he has to apologize for. After watching Aldean fail to hit a not particularly high note, he watches Train try to sing a much higher and more difficult part from "Hey Soul Sister."
    Pat: [sadly] Nailed it.
