  • The characters' dry sense of wit is too numerous to quote in its entirety. Let's just say it's a World of Snark and leave it at that.
  • When Alma sees Anpu, the adorkable goes up to eleven and hearts blossom out of her speech bubbles.
  • Alma setting everything on her desk to make a photo of it and post on Instagram.
  • Alma tries to think of a good way to name Anpu (whom she still thinks to be a regular dog at the time). His reaction to her propositions?
Anpu: I pity your future children.
  • Anpu trying to discern what Sobek's deal is, and Sobek's exasperated reaction:
Anpu: In all the time I've known you...
    Sobek: You don't know me.
    Anpu: ...my friend...
    Sobek: I'm not your friend.
Anpu: You've never looked so unhappy.
  • Sobek quickly changing the subject when Anpu suggests a woman may be the reason behind his support of Heru. In a later chapter, Anpu cracks up when he discovers that Sobek had hooked up with Heru's (now ex-)wife!
Hathor:(on the phone) Is that...Set I hear laughing?
  • Anpu's concerns for Sobek become all the more hilarious if you consider that "Anpu" is Set, and thus Sobek's father.
  • Turns out the jar Edith broke was supposed to be unbreakable. She didn't even try.
  • The fact that the only thing Anpu's family ever agreed on was making the jar, and the way Sobek says it.
  • Anpu gets all high and mighty when lecturing Edith about Egypt being a highly advanced civillization... and then he panics upon seeing running water.
  • The Alt Text on the page revealing the second ba:
From that day on, Edith's life was separated in two. Before the tree chicken, and after.
  • Despite having just fought a Blacksmith and a giant tree chicken, Edith is still quietly freaking out when the mayor is questioning her about minor vandalism (breaking the jar).
  • The look on Sobek's face when he realizes that Edith thinks that "bun-dog" is Anpu. It just screams "wait, does she really think... OMG NO WAY!". You can see he's barely containing laughter.
  • The Blacksmiths commit true evil... they steal Edith's phone, change her Instagram password and post selfies of themselves.
  • Alma calling "Anpu" out on his deception... by calling him a "BAD DOG!" while sporting a smug smirk.
Set: Has it ever been made clear to you that I'm not a talking dog? I am a higher being.
Alma: Not when you act like a bad dog.
    Set: I'm not— I'm not even a dog. I'm—
Alma: Yeah, a dog would never cause this much trouble.
Set: Do you have ANY idea what I'm capable of?
  • The blacksmiths flipping between actively trying to kill Edith and bickering about mundane things in the middle of fights is pretty funny.
  • Chen's resigned and frustrated expression when Kai sneaks up on him.
    Kai: Hi Chen.
Chen seeing his ass is about to get whupped: -sigh- Hi Kai.
Kai blasts Chen across the street.
