  • The first thing The Joker does once he and Harley decide to leave Arkham is go to the local baseball stadium and recruit some new talent. Harley leads the team in prayer: "Joker is God."
  • Early on, Oracle describes the various people who chose to remain in Gotham City, such as the poor, criminals, and adventurers. Then, she brings up people with odd perceptions of reality as one panel shows a crowd of people with signs saying things like "Welcome mothership."
  • Bruce Wayne shamelessly hitting on Luthor's chauffeur, Mercy:
"I would rather dance alone, barefoot, on broken glass, than dance with you, Mister Wayne."
  • Superman's (ill-fated) arrival and his subsequent owning of the Mad Hatter.
  • In Fear of Faith, after the Scarecrow's plans have been foiled and he was exposed, the church refugees are about to lynch him. Rather than give Scarecrow what he wants, the Huntress convinces everyone to thank Scarecrow instead by pointing out he exposed just how much everyone has to be afraid of losing. You see everyone of different faiths gathered around Crane thanking him and inviting him into their prayers while the Scarecrow is freaking out from it all.
  • Huntress shows up towards the end of the Ballistic Romance arc to complicate Nightwing's love life.
  • When the Penguin's doing an inventory of his warehouse, he initially mistakes Batman (who's come by for information and is standing absolutely still) for a Batman mannequin, and then muses that he doesn't remember getting one of those.
  • While his broadcast is fairly touching, TV host Jenkin Yates gets some funny moments with his Cuckoolander Commentator broadcasts about Gotham when he thinks he's just broadcasting to dead air, when Oracle has connected him to every TV in America. He uses sock puppets to report the news and notes no one is calling with comments, but the fact that the phone lines have been down for six months might have something to do with that.
Yates: Call our number now! All calls should last no longer than zero minutes and will be charged at no rate at all. Don't bother to ask the person who used to pay the bill—And remember, dial carefully.
  • When the Young Justice team visits Gotham, Lagoon Boy is psyched about how Batman yelled at him. As he babbles about all the exciting things that have happened, his teammates have a Big "WHAT?!" reaction when he casually mentions passing a submarine in the harbor, with that information allowing them to stop a KOBRA biological attack just in time. Then there's Superboy and Impulse excitedly exclaiming "Loophole" when Robin admits that Batman never said they couldn't go to Gotham.
  • The second time Superman arrives, he disguises himself as a civilian living in the NML. When he asks Batman how his disguise holds up, Batman lays out several minute details Clark didn't really think about in how a person without basic utilities would look and smell. Clark then asks playfully, "And to someone who isn't the World's Greatest Detective?" Batman merely notes, "You look fine, Clark."
  • Cassandra decides to prove herself to Batman by going on a mission herself. When Bruce finally finds her, she has coins. Specifically, all of Two Face's coins, rendering him unable to make decisions. Batman picks one up and admits, "Nice touch."
  • Catwoman steals a statue in Manhattan, only to discover that it has been replaced by one of Oracle's transmitters modeled after the statue, which summons her back to Gotham City. After braving her way through various dangers to make it inside, she finds out that she was summoned because Batman needs her to steal some computer discs in Manhattan. Catwoman furiously demands to know why Batman couldn't have just asked her to steal the discs in Manhattan while she was still there, and the situation quickly leads to some Slap-Slap-Kiss.
  • Joker decides to run for the position of president of No Man's Land against rival warlord Billy Pettit. He has fancy campaign posters made for himself and placed next to ones for "Billy 'The Pig' Pettit" showing a picture of a scowling pig with Pettit's mustache. Joker then insincerely laments how Pettit is making Joker put up those campaign posters due to lacking the democratic initiative to run his own campaign. The artist who drew the posters points out that it's hard for Pettit to campaign when he doesn't even know that he's running, a comment which incurs Joker's annoyance.
  • After encountering various thugs dressed as Joker, Azrael and Batgirl mistake the real Joker for another copycat and make a dismissive Your Costume Needs Work comment. Joker is left so flabbergasted and confused that he lets them walk out of there.
  • Near the end of the series the Joker attacks a helpless woman with the stated intent of attracting Batman's attention. Someone large looms behind Joker, and he happily turns around... to see Bane. Joker's reaction is a quiet "This is gonna suck." Calling what ensues a Curb-Stomp Battle is being too generous. It is more a Curb Stomp Punch.
