Fridge Horror

  • The entire premise gets disturbing to the point where the series becomes Glurge when you consider that it's about a girl who, despite it being what she wanted, gets Trapped in TV Land and is unable to return. Although the residents do threaten to kick her out if she doesn't lose weight (I.E. live up to their standards of beauty) hence the accusations that the series promotes anorexia and general unrealistic beauty standards. This is not helped be the fact that this apparently happened when she was a second-year middle school student, meaning she was around 13 or 14 at the time and now has the mind of one. And to top it all off, the live-action opening of "Training" films it like it was a horror movie and expects us to find it cute.
    • Not to mention how this adds Paranoia Fuel by pretty much saying that anime is some kind of parallel dimension where all the characters are Animated Actors. Raising a lot of terrifying questions in the process such as what happens when they die, do they miss their loved ones, etc.
