Susie Searches is a Black Comedy mystery hybrid and a 2023 film that premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival before being released in July 2023. Susie (Kiersey Clemons) is a nerdy outcast who works at a burger joint with the mean Jillian (Rachel Sennott) and Sheriff Loggins (Jim Gaffigan). Her true passion is her under-the-radar true crime podcast (called Susie Searches). When her pothead classmate, Jesse (Alex Wolff) goes missing and Susie comes to suspect oddball Edgar Cabot (Ken Marino), Susie sees this as an opportunity to promote her podcast and gain an edge.
