Time Pair Doxxed

This fanfiction series contains examples of:
- Alternate Universe Fic: A What If? with the change that Hawk Moth communicates with the Timebreaker who came back to find out how it went the first time around.
- Bittersweet Ending: More bitter than sweet. In the parallel world where Marinette ends up, most of her classmates are dead. So is her own counterpart. She is taken in by her parallel family but it will never be the same. Adrien may come to love her in time, but there are no guarantees since he knows she is a substitute.
- Clone Angst: Marinette is disturbed about being a homeless temporal duplicate with no real identity in the parallel timeline. She believes she cannot live a normal life without exposing the secret identity of her counterpart, since she came over as a duplicate Ladybug.
- Deal with the Devil: Marinette makes a deal with Hawk Moth, her Miraculous in exchange for the power to go back to her world. She cheats him by getting him turned in, and he cheats her by sending her to a different world than she came from.
- Expendable Alternate Universe: Marinette and Alix find themselves as duplicates of people in a world where they don't belong. Marinette is desperate to return to her own world and makes a deal with Hawk Moth to do so, even though it might harm the alternate world.
- Karma Houdini: Averted. Marinette does not get away with abandoning her post at the bakery. She takes the punishment for her counterpart. She also knows that in her original world she vanished, leaving her grieving parents to wonder why she ran off across town and lied about listening to music in her room.
- Meaningless Villain Victory: Hawk Moth wins the Ladybug Miraculous in one world, but Alix calls that world's Ladybug to expose his identity.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Marinette is so desperate to return to her own timeline that she makes a deal with Hawk Moth.
- Replacement Goldfish: Marinette and Alix replace their missing counterparts in their families. Marinette tells them the truth, but Alix does not.
- Temporal Paradox: Averted. In spite of the pun in the title, there are no paradoxes, just branching timelines.
- The Unmasking: Ladybug's secret identity is exposed to the Chat Noir of the alternate timeline. Hawk Moth's identity is exposed in two timelines. Chat Noir reveals his identity to the newly-arrived Marinette and Alix.
- You Have Failed Me: Downplayed. Not fatal, but Hawk Moth does not create a second Timebreaker when he learns how badly the first round went. He also pulls Timebreaker's power.
