is a Duskwood Fan Fic by IAmHoussem17. It serves as a sequel to Best Served Cold (IAmHoussem17), taking place three months later. Jessy is in a happy relationship with Matthew and they plan on moving in together soon. However, when Jessy is contacted by someone familiar, she's bound to uncover the most Awful Truth in her life...

- Awful Truth: Jessy finally discovers that her boyfriend Matt is the one responsible for her friends dying three months earlier. This also applies to Jake, who discovered it first but had to lay low before he can make a move.
- Big Bad: Matthew continues to carry this role from the last story.
- Big Good: Alan Bloomgate, the police chief, is the closest thing the story has to this.
- Broken Pedestal: For Jessy, to say that finding out her boyfriend is a lying murderer was a hard pill to swallow would be a massive understatement.
- Dramatic Irony: Us the readers are aware that Matthew was the one who killed Lilly and Richy. Poor Jessy doesn't find out till three months later.
- Even Evil Can Be Loved: Jessy's feelings for Matthew never went away even after discovering his crimes. After his death, she bemoans that no matter how hard she tries, she'll never be able to forget him.
- Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Going with the above entry, Matthew's love for Jessy is genuine, even as he's committing crimes. Though he's not above using her to further his plans.
- Karma Houdini Warranty: Though he manages to go out on his own terms, Matthew is forced to kill himself so he doesn't get caught for his previous crimes.
- "Ray of Hope" Ending: Matthew is Driven to Suicide so he doesn't get punished for his crimes, Jake will be arrested after his hospitalization and Jessy will have to carry the trauma for the rest of her life, but she's determined to keep going for as long as she can.Jessy: All I can do now is try to move on, with these words in my mind: It's going to be alright. If it's not alright, it's not the end.
- Reasonable Authority Figure: Alan is presented this way. He comforts Jessy when she comes to him and reassures her that he'll do everything in his power to help her.
