The Monsters on Maple Street
is a crossover between The Owl House and Invader Zim, taking place after Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus. The idea is that Jacob manages to get in contact with the Swollen Eyeball Network, and they end up sending Dib to investigate his claims about Vee... right as the Hexsquad is trying to adjust to being trapped on Earth.
- Age Lift: Dib is slightly older than in canon here.
- Everyone Has Standards: Despite all his own paranormal experiences, Dib draws a line at Jacob's nonsense about demons from Mars wanting to steal human teeth to power a time machine. That said, he still gives him enough of a benefit of a doubt to check out his claims about Vee.
- The Ghost: While Zim is mentioned, the tags make it clear that he won't actually show up.
- Shout-Out: The fic is named after The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street.
- Spit Take: Amity has one when she sees the poster with an image of Vee's true form.
