Savior Or Slayer is a crossover fanfiction written by the author psychoenoshima on archiveofourown
set ostensibly in the world of My Hero Academia, featuring the titular Princess from Slay the Princess in a role as a deuteragonist. Having been freed from the confines of her original story, she accompanies our protagonist, an iteration of Midoriya Izuku with a rather strange quirk, on a journey to aid her savior in becoming a hero, even if her power is much more befitting of the role.

This fic contains examples of:
- Adaptational Badass: The Princess plays a significant role in her own rescue, her actions foiling the Narrator and their attempts to control the story.
- Adaptational Jerkass: Katsuki Bakugou, and the main staff body of Aldera Junior High, have a very quirk supremacist view, and are willing to overlook and even reward the bully's behaviour.
- Adaptational Villainy: The Narrator is far more intent on having the story go HIS way, and no other. He even attempts to usurp the protagonist's free will, before being stopped by the very princess he sought to destroy.
- Body Horror: Izuku's quirk in the fic causes his cells to also function as STEM cells, and grants him control over the cells of his body. This leads to him creating organ amalgamations as weapons.
- Crossover: The fic is a crossover between a horror visual novel (which, at the time of writing, is in Demo) and the superhero story of My Hero Academia.
- Humanoid Abomination: Izuku is a walking mass of sentient STEM cells. Naturally, not everyone is particularly welcoming of him.
- Meaningful Name: The Princess decides to name herself Princess when free from the Narrator.
- Shapeshifting: The Princess is able to assume any of the forms she takes on in the original game, and the author has shown that, as more are added through development, more forms will be showcased in the story.
- The Puppet Cuts His Strings: When The Narrator attempts to take control of Izuku to have the story go his way, plot appropriate golden puppet strings latch onto his arms. Izuku is able to resist long enough to free one of his arms, and drop the blade.
