Marinette had thought she was used to Lila's lies, but when Lila tells the class that Marinette beat her up and put her in the hospital, Marinette finds herself unprepared for their vengeance. Almost before she knows it, her enraged classmates have grabbed her, beaten her almost to the point of unconsciousness, and dropped her into the Seine to drown. Fortunately, she manages to retain a few allies — Luka, Kagami, Nathaniel, and Felix — who just might be able to help her regain her strength and bring Lila as well as her classmates to justice.

- 20% More Awesome: Max attempts to quantify the probability of Kim successfully 'teaching someone a lesson,' both literally and in the 'beat someone until they change their behavior' sense. He ascertains that Kim is much more effective at beating people into compliance than he is at academic teaching.
- Disproportionate Retribution: The class beating Marinette up and leaving her to drown when she didn't actually do anything, much less anything that could even come close to merit such a response.
- Implied Death Threat: Kagami puts her sword to Kim's neck and orders him to leave Marinette alone, clearly implying she'll kill him if he doesn't.
- It's All About Me: After Marinette is beaten almost to death, Adrien tells her that she should give in so that they can start rebuilding their friendship, as if him and her being friends is the truly important thing.
- Left for Dead: Marinette is beaten until she can't fight back and then dropped in the river to drown. Fortunately, the class flees without checking to see if she actually died.
- Mama Bear: Sabine is enraged when she learns what happened to Marinette.
- No-Sell: Hawkmoth attempts to akumatize Nathaniel as Luka struggles to save Marinette's life. Despite Nathaniel's rage, he rejects the akuma.
- The Sociopath: Lila's response to learning that the class beat up and almost murdered Marinette because of her lies is just to say "more power to them."
