Crossing Over
is a Harry Potter fanfic by RarissimaAvis (also the author of Danse Macabre).
Versions of Hermione, Harry, Draco, Tom, Ron and Neville from four different futures are sent back in time to change the future. Just to complicate things, all of them are trying to keep their time-travel secret from everyone, including each other.
Contains examples of:
- Anthropomorphic Personification: The Higher Entities.
- Bad Future: Draco, Ron and Neville come from one (but not the same one).
- Face Palm: Hazel's reaction to being told she and Hermione are going to an Alternate Universe.
- Forced Transformation: Tom Riddle is turned into a snake when he's sent back in time.
- Impossibly Tacky Clothes: Death, of all beings, appears wearing violet, gold and turquoise robes. Luck picked them, apparently.
- Right for the Wrong Reasons: Hazel thinks "Marvolo" has something to do with Voldemort. She's right; he is Voldemort, or a version of him, but she thinks he's a Horcrux.
- Rule 63: This version of Harry is a girl named Hazel.
- Void Between the Worlds: Limbo, the Land Between Worlds, where the Higher Entities tell Hazel and Hermione about sending them to an Alternate Universe.
