- Adaptational Villainy: In the game, both Furina and Neuvillette are caring leaders of their nation who puts it above over their own selves. Here, they let it be be flooded by the primordial sea due to their mad love for each other.
- Furina is a selfless Nice Girl on canon, while in this fanfic, she became a crazed and sadistic Yandere who brutally murdered 24 women for assumingly flirting with Neuvillette. She also framed several people of crimes they didn't commit and send them to the Fortress of Meriopide. Justified as she slowly loses her sanity due to her mad love for Neuvillette and the suffering she endured for pretending as Fontaine's Archon.
- Neuvillette in canon is a humble and fair person who shows no bias when he carries out sentences and formed an attachment towards the people of Fontaine and absolve them of their sins when he regained full sovereign authority while in this fanfic, he rigs the court in Furina's favour and let's her act out on her selfish and toxic desires at the cost of Fontaine and it's people.
- Dies Differently in Adaptation: The missing women died as they were dissolve by Vasher in the game while in this story they were gruesomely killed by Furina who gouges out their eyes out of their sockets.
- Downer Ending: Due to Furina and Neuvillette's intentional negligence to solve the prophecy, the rest of Fontaine and it's people were consumed by the primordial seas just as the prophecy foretold.

This leads to her abandoning her goal to save Fontaine, commit various atrocities, and watch pleasurely as her beloved nation and it's people be consumed by the primordial seas.
- Tears of Joy: A villainous example, Furina shed tears once Fontaine's prophecy has gone in full swing although not out of remorse or sadness but in a twisted and sadistic joy.
- Tragic Villain: Furina might have been an insane goddess who let her own nation be destroyed, it's not hard to understand why. Furina was once a selfless person who genuinely do want to save Fontaine from the Prophecy along with her other half Focalors but having to endure the facade for so long took a toll on her mental health and in desperation confesses her secret to Neuvillette who told her to be selfish for her own sake which lead to the two forming a relationship. As their relationship grew, Furina's interest in Fontaine dwindles till she became obsessed with Neuvillette along with the doubts of the people of Fontaine towards her and Neuvillette lead to her path to villainy and defying the will of her Divinity. Even as Furina fully committed a Face–Heel Turn, she was still deeply hurt when the people of her nation turned their back against her to put her on trial as a desperate measure to stop prophecy.
- Yandere: Furina brutally murdered 24 women due to their attraction to Neuvillette. She also thrown Childe into the abyss after the latter cut Neuvillette's cheek during his trial.
