A Knight's Story: Prophecy of the Two Kingdoms is a video game idea by Black Mage Anolis taking place in a world very different (or not so different if you know where to look and what the backstory is) from our own where dragons fill the skies on daily occasion, goblins live and tinker in the mountains, and a war between two kingdoms has swept up the land and its inhabitants. This war has gone on for decades, showing no signs of stopping and taking with it as many lives as possible. However, a prophecy tells of the war's end by a brave knight:

In an era of war where two kingdoms fight for dominance, only one, orphaned by war and surrounded by death, who has vanquished his demons and conquered his fears shall quell the fighting and bring forth and era of peace.

Meet Julius, instructed by King Mallus to, according to his interpretation of the prophecy, defeat the Emperor of Bonnelsia. He's your typical brave, righteous, valiant knight in shining armor with a dark past. He's also the (adopted) son of King Mallus who found him as the lone survivor of a battle that destroyed his home village when he was only eight years old.

He meets many people on his journey: Natalie, a battle medic from Glindessa who is optimistic, somewhat impulsive, and has fallen in love with the guy; Chiron, a broken soul who can't seem to stay in a suitable relationship with family, friends, lovers, even pets, without them dying; Lisa, a woman who acts as a mother figure for the group in order to cope with her two sons who had died in the war; and Engie, a young engineer from Nakoli who just wants someone to be happy with what she does and is happy with not being perfect. Or is she?

In fact, as the journey unfolds, we see how taxing it is on the main characters: Julius, no matter what he does, always has people who think he should've done something else, Natalie is always pushed to the back even if she is a capable fighter, Chiron is revealed to be more than just The Stoic, Lisa still can't get over the death of her children, and Engie, after all she has done, is still expected by her superiors to be better than just good, and she also is uncertain about her potential feelings towards Natalie.

Also, a werewolf who was a completely normal kid before his 'incident' and not that much of a danger to begin with is nearly killed by an angry mob, an adventurer obsessed with an AncientArtifact loses practically everything to find it, a young, possibly insane, man believes himself to be The Chosen One and leads a rebellion, believing the only way to fulfill the prophecy is to defeat both kingdoms, a goblin woman who nearly kills herself over her knowing of a future terrorist attack and no one believing her, an emperor who prefers to drink his troubles away than to rule his kingdom, a general who so out there that he kidnaps and brainwashes a dragon to destroy entire villages as to end the war quickly, and finally another general who decides to use sieges in order to prevent more deaths.

Yea. It's going to be that kind of story.

(This is a work in progress. Don't expect this to last.)
