Sea Snail Studio, also known as El Autor, is an independent comic book creator from Mexico, and the author of the webcomic My Best Friend Marneao.
Before working on My Best Friend Marneao on 2016, he used to work on other comic book series written in Spanish. His first series was Salvatore, which ran from January of 2012 to April of 2013, which was about an Anti-Hero exorcist with a thing for older women. Salvatore had two spin offs: Adam, which was about a deceased side-character mentioned in the comic, and New Demons, a parody of Salvatore based on New Girl. He also worked on a comic book series named T.Kin ball, which was a sport series based on telekinetic kids.
However, he decided to turn away from his Spanish-speaking audience in 2016, and decided to start again with My Best Friend Marneao, which explores some of the concepts and designs of Salvatore and Adam from a new perspective. His previous works were deleted, with T.Kin Ball ending inconclusively at that.
El Autor is a mysterious individual, with very little of his personal life being known. He tend to appears using a masked man with tuxedo as his Author Avatar. He is also One of Us.
