Eunice Gayson (17 March 1928 – 8 June 2018) was an English actress.
She was best known for playing Sylvia Trench, the first onscreen Bond girl in the first theatrical James Bond film, Dr. No.note Her character is the Trope Maker for The Name Is Bond, James Bond, actually. She introduces herself first by "Trench, Sylvia Trench" in Dr. No, before Bond (Sean Connery) does the same. She briefly reprised the role in From Russia with Love, the first, and until No Time to Die only time a Bond girl returned in another movie.
