In general
- Breaking the Fellowship/Dwindling Party: The separation of the main Class T1T5, made worse by the mass expulsion. While it was restored later, it came with a cost. Likewise, a lot of old students later stopped appearing altogether (due to actor unavailability or parting ways).
- Book Dumb: Most of them, except Denise and a few others.

The Danza: Most of T1T5’s students are named after their talents. - New Year, Same Class: While some minor students come and go, the main characters stay the same.
- Put on a Bus: The inactive students are this.
- Senior Year Struggles: Recent seasons (as the characters move up grades) have them go through the SATs themselves.
- Spin-Off: The Study Buddies (the main characters) get this.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: As you'd expect from a class in High School, they bicker and fight CONSTANTLY among themselves, and while some of them genuinely don't like each other, when push comes to shove, they have each other's back. Vincent puts it best when he was talking to Madeline:Vincent: I miss my old classmates. They weren't perfect, but we got along so well.
