    The Vampire/Cupid
The game's Player Character.

Tropes applying to both game modes:

  • Ambiguous Gender: While their appearance seems to suggest that they might be male, nothing actually ever confirms the Vampire's gender, and they can easily disguise as both male and female people.
  • Big Bad: They're the main source of troubles in both game modes.
  • Master of Disguise: The Vampire is able to wear about anything for their disguises. They can even disguise as the various neighbors.
  • Villain Protagonist: They're the game's main protagonist, but also a vampire who wants to suck people's blood.
    • Downplayed in "Love Bites" since there they're not trying to kill anyone but merely break couples, which however is far from what you could define as "good"... well, with the exception of Karen and Prince Charming obviously.

Tropes applying to the main game mode:

  • Must Be Invited: The Vampire follows traditional vampire rules and thus cannot enter others' houses without being invited first, which is why they have to convince the neighbors to let them in.
  • No Name Given: They're never given any actual name, being simply referred to as "the Vampire".

Tropes applying to "Love Bites":

  • Adaptational Jerkass: While the Vampire in the main game mode is far from a good guy (they're murdering people and sucking their blood after all), they ultimately seem to do what they do merely because it's their nature and they need to eat. In "Love Bites", however, Cupid breaks perfectly healthy and functional couples (well, in most cases at least) for seemingly no reason. Sure, causing people to break up might be less villainous than murdering them, but at least with the murder the Vampire had an excuse.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Ehh, sorta. Unlike their counterpart from the main game mode, Cupid isn't trying to kill anyone, but they're also not exactly a nice guy. See Adaptational Jerkass above.
  • For the Evulz: Given Cupid actually watches the couples argue after they've been manipulated into breaking up, it's probably safe to assume they're going through all this trouble just for their own amusement.
  • Named by the Adaptation: They're called "Cupid" here.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: All the couples Cupid goes after are perfectly healthy and functional, with the exception of Karen and Prince Charming since the former actually used a Love Potion on the latter, making Cupid causing them to break up actually a good action (albeit, in an unintentional way).
