General tropes:

1-Star Rarity
  • Boring, but Practical: They're not exactly one of a kind, but they get the job done.
  • Crutch Character: They are plenty of them to pick and train until you find a much higher rarity character.
  • Weak, but Skilled: None of them may have impressive firepower or health compared to Legendary characters, but their skillsets are nothing to sneeze at.

     Common Characters (★ Rarity)
There are currently eight common characters in this game.

Black Widow (Modern):

  • Weak, but Skilled: Black Widow's HP may be low, but her Level 5 Widow Sting ability can stun her primary target for 5 turns and the rest of the enemy for 1 turn. One-star Black Widow has access to AP manipulation in the form of Aggressive Recon: it robs the enemy's AP, which is otherwise absent at the one-star ranking aside from Yelena, whose ability is far more expensive, and can make use of the best stun in the entire game. Not the best stun ability, but the longest stun of any character accessible at 5 turns. At lower levels where there tends to be one target of focus, this can really help out.

Hawkeye (Classic):

  • Weak, but Skilled: Don't look down on Hawkeye, because his Take Aim ability can potentially turn the tides of the game with a Critical Tile.

Iron Man (Model 35):

Red Ability: Repulsor Blast
Yellow Ability: Armored Assault
Blue Ability: Ultra-Freon Beam

  • Flying Firepower: Armored Assault deals damage to his target while creating Shield Tiles at the same time.
  • Jack of All Stats: Iron Man is by far the most balanced one-star rarity character in the roster in terms of damage and utility.
  • Power Palms: His trademark Repulsor Blast is what defines him as Iron Man.

Juggernaut (Classic):

  • Cast from Hit Points: Headbutt significantly damages the target, but at a minor cost of Juggernaut's HP.
    • It gets to the point where you can see him commit suicide using that move on the enemy's team.

Spider-Man (Original):

  • All Webbed Up: All Tied Up is pretty much the same description as this trope when Spidey stuns his foes using his web shooters.
  • Building Swing: His primary offensive move, Web Swing, deals damage to the enemy target and sets up his Web Tiles.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Spidey knows how to fight with Spectacular Strategy, setting up Critical Tiles to turn the tides against his foes.

Storm (Modern):

  • An Ice Person: Hailstorm floods the field with weak Attack tiles.
  • Shock and Awe: Lightning Strike randomly destroys different tiles and gains AP from said destroyed tiles.

Venom (Dark Avengers):

  • Combat Tentacles: Gargan's Symbiote Snare can damage and stun his opponents.
  • One-Hit Kill: If there are enough web tiles on the board, his "Devour" skill will instantly kill an enemy instead of dealing damage and use up the web tiles.

Yelena Belova (Dark Avengers):
