"People are in trouble. I can't just leave them alone!"

The main character of the game. He used to live as an office worker until one day he died saving a child from run over by a truck. He's then reincarnated to the Fantasy World of Vestria in a journey to help the residents.

  • All-Loving Hero: He's basically a pacifist and prefers talking to fighting. He even gives a chance to a demon worshipper tribe if they mend their ways.
  • Chivalrous Pervert: Yes, he's drooling over the men all over Vestria, but he never does anything more than that, especially sexually offend them.
  • Devious Daggers: Subverted. As unusual heroic trope who wields a knife instead of a blade, he's anything but devious.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": Most resident of Vestria will call him "Doushi"/"Master". Only small circle of friends call his name, which is...
  • Hello, [Insert Name Here]: You will be asked to name your character before playing the game.
  • Knife-Throwing Act: His special move "Alf Snead" is this.

"I am a sword to protect the Master, the sword to pave the way for the Master!"

The first Sacred Artefact the protagonist awakens in the game. The protagonist sometimes call him by his nickname "Ex".

  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He used to be an old legendary sword Excalibur.
  • Hero-Worshipper: Everything protagonist does is his source of worshipping.
  • Competition Freak: His jealousy is not always about another men, but also to even to other a non-living thing, like a library.
Excalibur: It's okay, Master! My muscles can easily create 100.000 books, no problem!
  • Crazy Jealous Guy: Unless he himself agrees to it, Ex will be jealous to whomever Protagonist seems fond of.
  • Malaproper: Ex has this trait that he often mispronounces other people's name, be it the team mate or IMPORTANT FIGURE in a country. If he pronounces your name well, it means you are worth his judgement or he's being serious. Then again, he's never NOT serious.
