    The Safehouse Crew

General Tropes

  • Alternate Self: All of them are alternate versions of Team Chaos.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Almost all members of the Crew are introduced via nickname, and in some cases readers never actually learn their full names until many chapters and several real-life years after the story began.
  • What Could Have Been: Each of them is an alternate universe version of the members of Team Chaos, in a world where their meteors all landed out of synch and SBURB never happened.

Loki

Cecil Palmer

Formerly known as Palmer #1, Cecil is Kevin's twin brother and a latent Seer of Void.
  • Psychic Children: Has both prescient and psychokinetic abilities.
  • Seers: A known psychic and latent Seer of Void.
  • Tongue Trauma: Bites his own tongue off during the hospital arc, and remains mute throughout the rest of the story.

Kevin Palmer

Formerly known as Palmer #2, Kevin is Cecil's twin brother and a latent Seer of Void.
  • Psychic Children: Has both prescient and psychokinetic abilities.
  • Seers: Like his brother, Kevin is psychic, though his abilities are far less potent. He's often called the "Discount Oracle" because most of his predictions involve items going on sale or special discounts at the stores they all shop at.

Elizabeth F. Harrison

Will Graham

  • Canine Companion: A whole pack of them, as Mr. G takes to adopting pretty much every stray dog that comes to stay at the Safehouse.
  • Only Sane Man: Often becomes this in light of the rest of the Safehouse's shenanigans.

Sapphrel Angeles

  • Manipulative Bastard: Saph has a very in-depth understanding of group psychology and how to twist things so people think what they want them to think. For the most part this is done for the greater good, but can rapidly become terrifying whenever they set their sights on a specific goal.
  • The Chessmaster: They have an insane capacity for complicated plans in which no one knows all the pieces on the board. This comes into play throughout most of Part VI and onwards, as they start laying down plans to foil the Heir of Blood's plans and eventually take him down for good. Needless to say, the Heir of Doom is not amused.
  • The Napoleon: Lampshaded jokingly by Hal.
    Okay, criminals.
We’re burying someone five feet tall, small but lean build, dark hair and eyes. Can be pissy at times.
  • Spider-Sense: They have an uncanny sense for danger, always able to sense disaster coming and shield themselves and/or their friends from the worst of the damage.
  • Technopath: Because of their title as an Heir of Doom, Saph has the ability to enhance the performance of machines through contact, which they use to set up a working wifi signal for them and their friends when calamity strikes NYC.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Hal.
