- His part in the Career Resurrection of John Lee Hooker, who had almost drifted into complete obscurity among the general public. Morrison was one of many successful fans that contributed to his 90s resurgence.
- Van was going through a phase of being crippled by stage fright during the making of The Last Waltz, and apparently nearly left the building right before his big performance of "Caravan". That he's universally considered one of the highlights of the film is testament to his bravery when faced with stagefright.
- It's Too Late To Stop Now is often considered one of the greatest Live Albums ever recorded, and the most awesome moment has to be during "Cyprus Avenue", when an audience member shouts up at the stage, "Turn it on!" And Van, suddenly the coolest guy in the universe, growls - in his natural Belfast speaking voice too - that "It's turned on already." Damn.
