Awesome / Transformers: Beast Wars (2021)

Issue #1:

  • The very first issue opens with Galavar telling the Tripredacus Council how he plans to steal the Golden Disk from the Science Ministry. When the Council expresses their disapproval of this plan, Galavar reveals that he has already executed it. He also states that the name Galavar no longer suits him and he chooses to go by Megatron.
Megatron: When next we meet, you'll thank me... and then you will bow.

Issue #3:

  • Nyx enduring brutal torture at the Predacons' hands. Her taunting of Megatron is also awesome.
Nyx: History barely remembers the original Megatron. It's never going to remember you.

  • Dinobot turning on the Predacons when they decide to make a show of hunting and killing Nyx. First, he destroys the device preventing Nyx from transforming, thus allowing her to escape. He then takes on all the other Predacons himself and wins.
    • This is especially impressive when you compare it to the animated series. When Dinobot challenged Megatron in the show, Megatron dismissed him and had Scorponok blast Dinobot out of the ship. Here, Dinobot proves himself the equal of the entire Predacon crew. Additionally, while cartoon Dinobot only fought Megatron for leadership of the Predacons, the Dinobot in this comic fights him to save Nyx's life. Lastly, while Dinobot died from even trying to take on multiple Predacons in the original series, this version pulls it off in the third issue and lives!
    • Dinobot also gets some good verbal shots at Megatron. The speech shows that Dinobot isn't just honorable, he's pragmatic as well.
Megatron: I had thought you were strong, Dinobot. Oh, well, I suppose this was bound to happen eventually. All brilliant leaders are tested.
Dinobot: If strength was all that was required of a leader, Skold would be in charge.
    Skold: Hey!
Dinobot: As far as brilliance? Your plans are half-thought out at best. You don't know how to utilize nor inspire your followers. And you've just lost your Maximal hostage. You'll have to start thinking things through!
    • And then Dinobot tops it off by knocking the Predacons into the Darksyde and locking them within the ship by initiating its security defense protocol.

  • Minor one for Skold: Her fight with Dinobot lasts a whole page, opening up with her sluging Dinobot in the cheek. The rest consists of Dinobot and Skold struggling to land a hit on each other whilst Dinobot gives the female Predacon a You Are Better Than You Think You Are talk, but Skold isn't interested in listening. Dinobot turns his attention to Megatron in the next page, and then hurls Skold into the Predacon leader in the page that follows. Yes, Skold's battle with Dinobot only consisted of a single page of actual fighting, but she put up a better fight than Tarantulus, Scorponok, Terrorsaur, and Waspinator; whom Dinobot bested within the span of a single page (give or take a panel) without taking a hit.

Issue #6:

  • While Tarantulas is busy trying to get past the computer security system, Rattrap has just enough time to spring an unpleasant surprise on the Predacon scientist; after goading him into the ship's corridor, Rattrap powers up the ship's cargo-loading exoskeleton and uses it to toss Tarantulas out the window!
Rattrap: This thing has so much power I bet I could chuck you right through the reinforced polymer of the windows! What odds ya give me?
    Tarantulas: No!
Rattrap: No odds? That ain't very sporting. I don't think I wanna play with bad sports.

Issue #11:

  • Skold finally reaches her Rage Breaking Point with Terrorsaur's abuse after he apparently kills Razorbeast, the only Cybertronian to ever show her genuine kindness and respect, and then mocks and threatens her. Literally roaring in anger, she crushes Terrorsaur's chest plate with her bare hand and rips his spark out of the newly formed cavity.
