Even with all the comedy from Shen Qingqiu's internal monologues and all the various hijinks he gets into, the fact that he's transmigrated to a xianxia novel means some characters are still given a few opportunities to show their skill and wits.
General
- While it's not exactly a compliment to Airplane's writing ability, you gotta give the guy credit for writing as many chapters as he did. In the donghua, his novel Proud Immortal Demon Way went on for 6,666 chapters!
Main Story
- Shen Qingqiu learns to barter with the System and manages to convince it not to deduct his points because he argues that since Ning Yingying was the one who made the request for Luo Binghe to ride in his carriage, he's not doing it to be kinder to Luo Binghe, but because she's Shen Qingqiu's most beloved disciple, so of course he would bend a bit to accommodate for her. Too bad this moment doesn't last long as Shen Qingqiu is soon deducted points just for smiling at Luo Binghe.
- Shen Qingqiu learns that Luo Binghe will never truly be in danger of being killed since he's the protagonist and uses that to his advantage. When the Skinner Demon is about to kill him and steal his skin, Shen Qingqiu manages to redirect her attention to Luo Binghe, which would allow the System to intervene and incapacitate the demon before she could harm Luo Binghe. This, in turn, allows Shen Qingqiu to land the killing blow on her.
- The entire fight between Luo Binghe and Elder Sky Hammer, especially in the donghua. Does it remind you of many fight scenes from shounen anime? Most probably. That doesn't diminish the epicness Luo Binghe exhibits when he gets his Heroic Second Wind and puts up a hell of a fight before eventually winning the showdown.
- Liu Qingge makes short work of Sha Hualing by brandishing Cheng Luan and knocking her off Qiong Ding Peak and several feet down Cang Qiong Mountain with little effort. There's also the fact that his mere presence caused her to quickly make a run for it.
- Shen Qingqiu finds out Shang Qinghua is Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky by realizing the other had said a modern curse word, leading him to scrutinizing him further before realizing he is indeed the author. The two then collaborate on finding a plant for Shen Qingqiu to use so he could hopefully escape his character's original fate, and they manage to achieve this goal!
- How does Airplane sneak in a message to Shen Qingqiu? He writes him a letter in English, which mean no one else but Shen Qingqiu would be able to read it. Sure, Shen Qingqiu still critiques the other on his poor grammar, but it got the job done.
- While he lost every time, Liu Qingge was more than determined and loyal enough to fight hopeless battle after hopeless battle against Luo Binghe for years on end just to retrieve Shen Qingqiu's body and bury it in Cang Qiong Mountain, even though this dragged his reputation as the invincible War God of Bai Zhan Peak to the ground.
- In his new body, Shen Qingqiu has a seemingly limitless pool of spiritual energy, which he uses to stop the fight between Liu Qingge and Luo Binghe by blocking the former's blade while holding the latter's hand so he couldn't unsheathe Xin Mo.
- Shen Qingqiu manages to trick Zhuzhi-lang in order to create an opportunity to escape by demanding they go to a brothel. Then he pays the girls there to fill their room up with wine that is very effective against snakes, causing Zhuzhi-Lang to revert to his true form and Shen Qingqiu using him as transportation so he could get closer to Cang Qiong sect.
- Tianlang-Jun, who even in a body that seems on the verge of falling apart altogether, easily beats down the protagonist Luo Binghe without breaking his cheerful grin. Even Liu Qingge when he attempts to fight him is no match. Shen Qingqiu realizes that Airplane was right when he decided to axe Tianlang-Jun from the original novel, or else he would have totally nerfed Luo Binghe.
- Although it's helped him a few times before, Shen Qingqiu really gets to use his extensive knowledge of Proud Immortal Demon Way to his advantage when he has to navigate around the Holy Mausoleum, which is filled with death trap after death trap. He even gets to use the Holy Mausoleum itself against Tianlang-Jun.
- Gruesome it may be, the Old Palace Master deserved it and more when it's revealed that Luo Binghe turned him into a demon stick for his false accusations of Shen Qingqiu. And this is before the cast learns what the old bastard had done to Luo Binghe's biological parents.
- Meng Mo stops Qiu Haitang from enacting her revenge on Shen Qingqiu by showing her how much her family had abused Shen Jiu. Tragically, however, this causes her to lose her sanity and run to what is likely her death.
