A reminder of Drax's Super-Strength
- Mantis shows that she really Took a Level in Badass since her first appearance.
- She shows she's not afraid of using her powers to her advantage, such as using her empath powers to make a woman give her the map to Kevin Bacon's house... and all her money with it.
- Her chase with Kevin Bacon and Drax shows her leaping from wall to wall with all the speed and grace of a real mantis.
- Her Curb-Stomp Battle of the cops that arrive at the scene, showing a level of dexterity and skill far closer to her comic counterpart. She probably got this from her training with the Guardians. And the best part is she doesn't even try to hurt them too much, she simply subdues them and puts them to sleep.
- Drax casually shrugging off the rapid gunfire of the police handguns, then stopping and flipping over a police car so hard it lifts into the air and crashes down. And he makes it look like a child throwing his favorite toy across the room.
- How Nebula got Bucky's prosthetic arm for Rocket: she outright ripped it off of him
. - Kevin Bacon actually stays with the group and manages to unite the town (and the Guardians) with an impressive Christmas song. He truly is a hero, not just an actor.
- He also manages to evade Drax and Mantis for a surprisingly long time, including a panicked escape from a second-floor window. Not bad for a guy in his 60s!
- The fact that the satellites they have access to are so advanced they can pick up clear reception to anything within range of 400-500 million lightyears. Kraglin makes it sound almost commonplace!
- Which would certainly explain how Carol received Fury's pager signal from across the galaxy. And how Jen was able to chat with Bruce while he was on-route to Sakaar.
- Quill does not take any shit lying down when he sees Kevin Bacon as his Christmas present. Instead of acting overjoyed at seeing his idol, he immediately snaps at Mantis and asks what the hell she did and to free him from the brainwashing. He may idolize Kevin Bacon, but he's wise enough to know this is not how he wants to see him.
