She is mentioned to be one of the very few recipients of the Silver Wing Assault Badge (the highest honor of the Empire) and the only living recipient.
She recognized that an immediate winter attack would make sense by attacking the Entente Alliance from the rear - with someone taking out the shoreline fortifications to allow the Imperial Navy to disembark troops behind enemy lines and commandeer the Entente's railways to resupply advancing troops once the encirclement was complete.
The kicker? Zettour and Lehrgen thought about this earlier but didn't discuss it with anyone else yet. Upon hearing Tanya talking about the same maneuver, Lehrgen was certain Zettour told Tanya about their plans despite their agreement to keep it top secret.
The moment Empire unfolds their large scale final move to end the war with Francois Republic. Operation Shock and Awe blows up the Francois command centers and throws their troops into confusion. At the front, the Empire deploys tanks and flamethrowers to flank the now leaderless Francois soldiers, forcing the survivors to surrender after a brutal slaughter. Ultimately, the Francois Republic caves in and signs an armistice.

Chapter 52 of the manga feature Tanya in close-quarters duel against an Allied Kingdom's ace of aces, Colonel Drake. While an all around awesome fight, the highlight came when, in response to Tanya cutting of his arm, Drake used said severed arm to Rocket Punch Tanya in the face, decisively gaining the upper hand.
