- Launch becomes the runner-up in the 21st Tournament. Defeating Yamcha and barely edging out Goku using the same trick as Roshi by using her longer legs.
- Goku gets an impressive noncombat one in the same Tournament. When Roshi puts Launch to sleep with hypnosis Goku is able to think of something that will wake her up; that the police are there to arrest her.
- Blue gets a villainous one by winning an actual victory for the Red Ribbon Army. He is able to defeat the three Turtle students, secure a Dragon Ball, the radar, and the pirate treasure. If he hadn't fallen into Bond Villain stupidity by not fishing them off he would have won the conflict for the RRA there. Tellingly its enough that even Bad Boss Commander Red doesn't order him executed for failing to kill them.
- And in the Land of Korin he tried to avert his previous blunder by wanting to take the heads of the Not Quite Dead Launch and Goku back to the Commander. They owe their lives to Tao being too impatient to leave, forcing Blue to come along.
- Launch saves Bora from his canon death via his own spear, by shooting down the spear in midflight. With a pistol no less.
- Bora defeats Bandages the Mummy during the Baba arc.
- Lunch is not only utterly unintimidated by Devilman but like Goku she's pure of heart enough too be immune to the Devilmite Beam.
- Emperor Pilaf of all people gets one. The inflation suit he equips Mai with is actually able to withstand everything Launch can throw at it. True she still loses by being blasted off as a Twinkle in the Sky, but even that doesn't harm Mai. It failed to defeat the Turtle students but it still worked better than anything Pilaf made in canon.
- Hercule of all people gets one in the 22nd Tournament elimination rounds by fairly defeating Nam. This firmly establishes for all his Small Name, Big Ego behavior that he is a Badass Normal.
- The writer's OC Sara Morganson gets two in the 22nd Elimination Rounds. First she exhibits her sumo prowess by defeating Pamput who had been mocking her for her size. Secondly during her match with Tien realizing she is outmatched within tournament rules by his techniques she gracefully forfeits.
