- Its made pretty clear Launches criminal life and aggressive attitude were the result of a Dark and Troubled Past. Her eight months training at Kame House were apparently the closest she'd ever had to a stable home environment.
- If Hasky really is Launch/Lunch's mother its tragic that she gave up her daughter in part because she thought it would be better for the child, and they ended up having a rough life anyway.
- Bora's grief over the death of Upa. It nearly leads to him killing Black even when the man had surrendered without a fight. He doesn't do it, but the fact he considered it shows how deeply this noble warrior was affected by his grief.
- Black's Rage Breaking Point has shades of this. While the RRA was a Card-Carrying Villain group its clear Black is outraged on their behalf for so many people being killed for Red's moronic wish and Bad Boss management.
