- The battle with Final Boss Tageri, especially its third form: quite possibly one of the best, most awesome use of Tennis Boss ever for video games.
- The ending: this only makes sense if one considers Ikaruga a distant sequel to Radiant Silvergun: Shinra and Kagari destroy the Stone-Like once and for all. Additional Fridge Brilliance if one take this as the crashing of the Eternal Recurrence Stable Time Loop from Radiant Silvergun, which essentially means Shinra and Kagari more or less broke time apart.
- It is entirely possible to beat each chapter without firing a single shot or even getting hit, thanks to the polarity system allowing you to absorb otherwise-unsurvivable attacks. Doing a chapter without firing earns you the rank of Dot Eater.
