Awesome Moments from Hello! Sandybell.

  • When Sandybell is wrongly accused of being a thief, many of her neighbours stand up for her and say she's a good girl. She is later proven to be innocent.
  • When Sandybell is sitting on a tree branch on top of a river while Marc uses her as a reference for his painting, she suddenly slips while kicking about for fun. Marc tries to hand her his stick so she can grab on, but she misses it, so he jumps in the river himself and saves her.
  • Anytime Charles and his Gang of Bullies harass Maggie and the other kids, Sandybell stands up to him, tells them off and is willing to raise her voice at them. She actually intimidates some of them.
  • Sandybell jumping in front of Kitty's car to save a lamb that crossed on the road. Kitty actually can't believe it and calls it stupid, but she doesn't care.
  • When Sandybell follows Oliver into a forest, she hears a noise. It turns out that Edward Lawrence, while on crutches, was also at the forest and fell into the water. Despite being a little girl, Sandybell jumps into the stream and brings Edward to a rock. Oliver retrieves his crutch, and Edward thanks her for saving him.
  • When Mr. Wellington brings Mark to meet the Shearers, Kitty's father notes that Marc is a great artist. Even though it would break his daughter's heart, he puts Marc's desires first and tells him he supports his dream of becoming a famed painter.
  • Right before Mark leaves home, he tries to tell Sandybell about his situation, but she's asleep. He then leaves her his sketchbook with a note telling her he will come back one day. It's nighttime and the rain is pouring, but Mark still trudges through for Sandybell.
  • Anytime Alec is dealing with the drug dealers. He takes no shit and is determined to expose them for who they are. When they kidnap Kitty, he rushes to rescue her and delivers a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown. In spite of being a Jerkass, he's a good person.
  • In episode 32, Alec fights a gang of counterfeiters. They initially think they have the upper hand, having Sandybell and Ricky in a corner, but Alec appears out of the shadow, stands in front of Sandybell, and takes their hits while dishing some of his own. After Sandybell and Ricky escape to search for Mark, the gang looks in terror at Alec as they realize what a formidable enemy they've made.
    • Keep in mind, this is the same episode that was so violent it was cut from Italian television.
  • Alec's whole life story, rising from being a small, scared child who was at risk of his Abusive Dad to being a self-taught martial artist who kicks ass and defends the weak. He also earns his happy ending with Kitty.
  • At one point Alec is so fed up with Kitty's Alpha Bitch behaviour he slaps her after she slapped him first.
  • Mark helps Sandybell find her mother because he knew Laurent, who was associated with Mrs. Edward's Dark and Troubled Past.
  • A French forum user explains why Kitty's Character Development is so great and resonates with viewers.
Translated from French There is a lot to say about Kitty Sherer, this haughty, arrogant, contemptuous, egocentric girl... However, I find that she is an interesting character to analyze as the story unfolds. Boring and off-putting at the very beginning of the episodes, we end up discovering little by little other aspects of her personality which deserve our attention. Even if her primary motivation remains selfish when she embraces a career as a journalist, we nevertheless notice that she devotes herself to it wholeheartedly. For a girl from a bourgeois background who is used to comfort and security, she shows great perseverance; she's a fighter. What I find interesting through the episodes that follow one another is to subtly discover what is in her heart, because there is a real evolution in her personality. Beneath a feigned indifference, she reveals some noble feelings. For example, Kitty agrees to pay for a taxi, gives Sandy a puppy and shows sincere love for Marc. She even goes so far as to undertake work in the cabin he occupies. And when she finally understands that he has no feelings of love for her, Kitty is truly heartbroken. She is therefore capable of loving! To truly love! The intervention of Alex who will shortly after open his eyes is very realistic, it is in fact this part which seduced me the most. I like characters with strong personalities. Sometimes I even find them more realistic than all these idealized heroines with few flaws. Which doesn't mean that I approve of their behavior, I just like the realism that emerges from her personality.
  • The way Mrs. Edwards regains her memory. Sandybell pulls a Heroic Sacrifice by going after a child that fell in the water, and she suddenly remembers how years ago, her own boat capsized and took the life of her husband. If it wasn't for Sandybell's drive for heroism, she never would have remembered it. Thus, she embraces Sandybell in her arms, alongside Edward.
  • The scene were Linda and Sandybell pay respects to Leslie's grave, with Linda thanking him for taking care of her baby after that one fateful night. Doubles over with Tearjerker.
  • The father of the Wellington nobles loses his wealth due to his poor financial skills....and the son regains it, due to his art winning contests all over Europe. Since Kitty also gifts him some land, it's safe to say that Mark has successfully brought prestige back to his family name.
  • Even more, in the end Sandybell and Mark are an item, which means technically, Sandybell is nobility too, as are their potential future children.
