One of the cut scenes from the Italian edition
Hello! Sandybell is a light-hearted slice and life adventure anime, but has it's fair share of gratuitous violence and shocking moments. Because the anime is aimed at children, many changes had to made so it would be more family-friendly.

In General
- In episode 15, Honor Ronwood, who dislikes hosting Sandybell, asks her husband Kern if she's his illegitimate daughter. For obvious reasons, most dubs removed this.
Italian dub
Both
- In episode 25, Alec harshly slaps Sandybell. Both the Rai and Mediaset editions remove this. However, they both kept the scene where Alec slaps Kitty.
Rai dub
- Three episodes were cut from this dub. They were:
- Episode 32, The underground sewers of Paris are a labyrinth of love: Mark was kidnapped by a criminal gang, who specialized in counterfeiting. They harshly beat him up to the point he was covered in bruises.
- Episode 35, Even if I can't call that person mom: Sandybell meets a woman who lost her daughter during a shipwreck. Sandybell and Ricky find her and the mother and daughter reunite.
- Episode 45, The man who holds his mother's hand: Sandybell meets an alcoholic sailor who confesses tha his mother was targeted by Human Traffickers. To defend herself, he stabbed one of her companions. He was so full of remorse that he began started drinking to cope.
- As mentioned earlier, in the original Japanese version Honor asks Kern if Sandybell is his illegitimate child. This was changed to her asking if "he hasn't been too enchanted by the little girl."
Mediaset dub
- Believe it or not, Mediaset actually kept in the line where Honor implied Sandybell was a bastard.
- All mentions of death were eliminated, and scenes deemed too violent for a child audience were removed. The narrator also had more lines, some of which would be used to handwave sudden character disappearances and cover death scenes.
- Episode 32 aired, but the scene of Mark being beaten was removed.
- In episode 39, Sandybell tries to meet with an informer who has information about the whereabouts of her mother, with cash in her hand. Just before she can approach him, he is shot and falls off the cliff, with blood trickling from his mouth as Sandybell tries to help him. In the Mediaset dub, this was changed to a frozen frame. The lines where Sandybell, Alec and Ricky expressed shock over his death were also removed.
- Episode 45 aired, but removed the scene of the sailor washing his blood-stained hands after killing his friend.
Arabic dub
- 15 seconds of the first episode were cut out because they featured
◊ Sandybell in her underwear. - The religious references (like Sandybell and Ricky at the church) are also cut out.
