Hanging in Gensokyo, fighting youkai from afar...

FAIR WARNING: this page is spoiler-free. And also under construction, but that's neither here nor there.

Main Story and Alternate Ending

  • Megas Vs. Suika:
    • Simply the idea: a giant robot car piloted by an obese video game-loving gearhead takes on a perpetually drunk, size-shifting child-esque oni who can rip apart mountains with her bare hands. The author bluntly said the story was written for that entire reason.
    • Advertisement:
    • As part of one of her higher-tier attacks, Suika chucks a massive firebomb at Megas. Entirely nonchalant about it, Coop uses a Mega Slush-powered ice sword to freeze the whole thing solid before smashing it apart.

Extra Stage

  • Megas Vs. Yuuka:
    • Reimu taking a risk by combining her powers with Megas in its core, not knowing whether the attempt would kill her or not. Her gamble pays off in the form of...
    • Divine Northern Fist: Fantastic Piledriver, a Spinning Piledriver Meteor Move with Reimu's Fantasy Nature and appropriate music backing it up. The velocity and g-forces not only cause Yuuka to lose consciousness well before they reach the ground, but the impact all but wipes the Garden of the Sun off the face of Gensokyo.
    • When Yuuka wakes up at her normal size and sees the Garden's sorry state, she starts feeling an urge to rampage, Megas and Reimu's presence notwithstanding. Coop unknowingly distracts her from this by giving her the packets of sunflower seeds that his mother insisted he bring along. This action stuns Yuuka enough that she actually starts crying.
  • Other:
    • Doubling as a Funny moment, Coop ends a Mêlée à Trois between Reimu, Alice, Marisa, Patchouli and Reisen as only he can: through Super Destructor Mode. It demonstrates that having them scaled up is the only real way to combat Megas in a Spell Card match, as the attack clears the entire battlefield of danmaku and takes out all five combatants at once.
    • A five-way Rock–Paper–Scissors match to determine who would escort Megas this go around ends with Patchouli the "winner". Since she didn't want to win in the first place, Reimu tells her to suck it up and deal with it. Patchouli's response? She grabs Reimu and throws her at Megas's head. Let that sink in for a moment.

How well does it match the trope?
