Demon Vald radiates Creepy Awesome. Special mention goes to him curb-stomping a draconic demon to the point that it has to resort to tricking him into mercy and defying Astador throughout his captivity even as mouthing off causes him to cough up blood.
Vald is no slouch in his human form, either. Even before taking up Yug Verund, he helps the palace guard hold off a horde of demons until his sword dissolves from the battle. Post-curse, he's such a talented fighter that he kills a dragon without even trying.
The fake city sorcerer storyline has a series of subtle moments of awesome. Vald disguises himself so effectively that even Havi doesn't recognize him, wields a broadsword while in aPimped-Out Dress (and a corset), and asserts himself in his relationship with Havi for the first time, turning the tables and seducing him.
